AAE addresses this mission through three strategic dimensions:
1. Building the AI Research Ecosystem
Infrastructure Support: Providing systems to sustain existing Atal Tinkering Labs and helping establish new Data Science and AI Labs in institutions.
Research Mentality: Encouraging and inviting a robust AI research ecosystem.
Outcome Focus: Supporting students to publish papers, gain recognition in technical competitions, and successfully apply for AI-related higher studies (e.g., targeting NeurIPS submission readiness).
2. Priming for Online Certifications and Degrees
Confidence Building: Offering preparatory ("priming") sessions to build student confidence.
Targeted Programs: Enabling students to effectively enroll in and complete the immense range of opportunities provided by online programs like the BS/AI and Data Science courses offered by IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee, Indian Institute of Science, and Chennai Mathematical Institute.
3. Professional Skill Finetuning and Job Readiness
Advanced Certification Support: Helping final year and postgraduate students refine their skill set for the job market by preparing them for professional certification courses (e.g., CQF, FRM, Quantra).
Applied Finance: Providing first-hand experience in the application of AI and Data Science within the Finance domain through specialized case studies and hands-on programming lessons.

Subroto Chowdhury, Ph.D., CAIIB
Subroto Chowdhury is a Practitioner Professor, Researcher, and Independent Consultant specializing in the practical application of Artificial Intelligence and Statistical Modeling.
His academic background includes a Ph.D. for thesis in Econometrics and Statistical Modeling. His career is marked by a unique blend of industry and research roles, including banking at Bank of Baroda, research at NIBM Pune (an RBI institute), and teaching at NIT Silchar.
A certified expert in the field, he holds exposure to Artificial Intelligence from the University of Helsinki, along with expertise and certifications in Python Programming and Machine Learning from industry giants IBM and Google. He uses his diverse experience and certified knowledge (CAIIB) to deliver high-impact lectures, transforming complex concepts into accessible, practical wisdom.
